To everyone: thank you so much for your responses. When I posted the
message about the whistle, I had no intention of making one, but with
good advice I think I’ll give it a try. It seems less complicated
now. I thank everyone who said they could do the project for me, and
I’m keeping your names just in case mine doesn’t work. And also thanks
for the insight into the opal inlay, I appreciate everyone’s ideas. I
feel so much less isolated now that I can ‘listen’ to the orchid
