Thanks to Brian for the info on the Starrett dividers! I have
forwarded therequest to replace my groovy bigger than I will ever
need 6" dividers with a2" set, whenever they show up for sale. Have
also cancelled the request for the shrinking ray gun. It seems the
tool store where these were purchaseddidn’t flip the page of the
catalogue to see that there were smaller ones…
And I second Jo’s comment that Starrett makes good tools. Whenever I
have to borrow something from the hubby’s shop (he has built custom
furniture for over 25 years) I am envious of some of his tools.
For now, I will make do with the set I have, which, I think, might
be the ones from Rio. And they do exactly what Brian says makes them
hateful. The legs don’t stayed lined up. I also dislike how thick
the legs are down closeto the tips. Makes it hard to mark something
when working inside of tight spaces.
