Welding thick bales and jump rings

Hello evrybody - I am considering purchasing a Sparkie II to weld
jump rings that are 10 - 16 gauge thick. My question is, is the
Sparkie or any other welder in this price range up for the task? I
would hate to shell out $$$ only to find I can’t get a complete weld.

Thanks
Mike

Does the Sparkie do this? Better check with the manufacturer; as far
as I know, it only attaches specially made findings to other things.
I do have one, BTW.

Hello Mike,

I am considering purchasing a Sparkie II to weld jump rings that
are 10 - 16 gauge thick.

The Sparkie II is designed for fusion findings only. In other words
it will weld only findings such as posts, tie tacks, etc. that are
designed specifically for use with the Sparkie. What you need is a
pulse arc welder such as a PUK III or 2, but keep in mind silver is
a very tricky metal to weld.

Hey Mike,

We’ve been using the PUK 2 to weld up to 10 ga Titanium jump rings
as well as sterling. It is awesome!
