Jewelry Arts & Design College
Los Angeles, CA. USA

JADC is a vocational college and does not require SAT scores or High
School GPAs from prospective students. High School Diploma or
equivalent will be sufficient. We are more interested in students
aptitude, such as hand craft skills or their interest in jewelry. NO
formal training or work experience are required. We can start
teaching from the beginning of jewelry art. However, if you have
formal education, training or work experience, you can request a
credit on a case-to-case basis. Your Portfolio is an optional item
that can help you with admission. Also, two recommendation letters
from your Teacher, Pastor, Employer or equivalent will help too.
However, a personal essay (about one page) explaining about your
educational goal and why you want to study at JADC is a mandatory
requirement. You can also review other Admission requirements in our
website, including VISA requirements.

We strongly recommend you to begin processing any SEVIS requirements
for international students (M-1) at least three months ahead of your
planned start date of studying in U.S. Once your VISA interview is
processed, you can enter U.S. within 30 days of your class start
date. Hence, you can submit your Admission application 90 days prior
to the next Quarter begins. If you are local students, you can apply
anytime for the next available class.

For further including tuition and class availability,
please call 213-738-7700, 7722 and speak with the Director of
Admissions.

I am a professional photographer that has specialized in jewelry for
25 years. My client list includes companies and designers such as
Neiman Marcus, Kohls Department Stores, Platinum Guild
International, Cornelis Hollander, Scott Gauthier and many others.
My experience runs the gamut from loose stones to finished jewelry. I
have experience producing just about every type of marketing
material imaginable. From short run postcards to 200 page catalogs.

I look forward to offering whatever help I can to the jewelers out
there. Wether it’s just advice about shooting, working in Photoshop
or having me photograph your pieces. Feel free to contact me with
any questions.

Barbara M Bear
Atlanta, Ga. USA

My name is Barbara Bear. I recently took advantage of early
retirement from a very successful 30 year career in radio
advertising sales. I have been obsessed with jewelry all of my life.
After taking several courses in Metal, Beading and Wire Wrapping I
have become even more obsessed! I read everything I can get my hands
on about this incrediable art form. I make jewelry when I am not
reading about it! I look forward to joining and learning from this
group of people that share the same passion that I do. B
