I’m here to learn more about jewelry making (specifically lapidary
work). And to connect with other designers and vendors of unique
materials and collections. I have been designing since I was a kid
and enjoy creating limited edition collections. I would love to work
with a skilled artisan/designer in lapidary. My business has been fun
and successful. The networking, events, and business operations
parts are easier for me than carving out the time to explore new
techniques and my own creativity. Now is the time and so I’ve put
much of my business on hold to do it. Woo-hoo!

I have been a goldsmith professionally for three and a half years. I
started out in high school learning silver smithing, casting, and wax
carving. I attended GIA in 2005 for the Graduate Jeweler and design
courses. While I was there I worked for the Silver Smith in Pacific
Beach. Later in 2005 I took an apprenticeship at Charles Koll
Jewelers in Fashion Valley. After a year and a half I had to move
back to Los Angeles for family reasons and became the goldsmith for
Niessing specializing in tension setting. Now I am starting a new
company specializing in the design of a true amercian c ontemporary
line.

I am a recent graduate from Ball State University with a BFA in
Metals. I am currently looking for an apprenticeship or a bench
position somewhere in the Indianapolis area. The kind of work I
enjoy making is something that is wearable and functional but still
maintains an element of uniqueness. I enjoy getting to know the
person I’m designing for an creating pieces that encompass and
represent who they really are as a person. I draw a lot from Celtic
influences as well as nature. I’m a lover of art nouveau and are
deco. I’m a very honest and genuine person as well as a hard worker.
I also l ove to share any i know as well as learn new.
I’m a student of life.
