I am an established New Zealand artist who works across several
mediums. I am an abstract expressionist painter, sculpt in glass and
large metal forms, and specialize in creative, contemporary
jewellery working with precious metals, found objects and anything
else I can lay my hands on! I successfully exhibit solo shows and
have art work in the city art collection and overseas, and have
recently been published in an international jewellery book. (Found
object Jewellery, Larks Books). I was the winner of the 2007 Showcase
Awards in the Arts category for my contribution to arts in the
community.

I currently tutor in abstract painting and jewellery and am the
moderator of the jewellery department of Manukau School of Visual
Arts. I am a member of the Artist out East"Trail and am represented
by Uxbridge Arts Centre, Malcolm Smith Gallery, Monterey Gallery,
Waiheke Gallery and artcollectiv and my own website - gaewebster.com.
I live on 11 acres in a gorgeous rural part of New Zealand, am
happily married for 31 years, have 3 wonderful children, 1 gorgeous
grandson, 4 cows, 6 sheep, 16 adorable chickens (in NZ we call them
“chooks”), 1 huge dog and a large studio to carry out generally
insane/creative activities!
