At the moment I am enjoying the exploration of resin, textiles,
paper, wire, plastics and all the metal clays (silver, bronze,
copper, white bronze, steel). My goal is to find my own unique style
while combining any and all of these mediums into assemblage pieces.

Hi I’m not sure what to say here… my name is Carrie and I haven’t
met a craft I don’t like…it’s been about a 20 year love affair so
far… I started out as a potter an am a member of Wesleyan Potters in
Ct. I love working with clay and still do. I was encouraged to try
working with metal from a friend who is also a member… so we both
tried each others craft, I’m hooked on metal now too. One of my
favorite classes was Foldforming with Charles Lewton-Brain (Hello
Charles). The whole process of hammering, fusing, melting and forming
metal is fun. From there another friend introduced me to fused glass,
now I’m a glass junkie also. Thank God I’m retired from my real job
or I wouldn’t have time to play so much. I don’t know how to
catagorize myself, I love learning and trying new ways to work with
my crafts and want my them to be self supporting but don’t expect to
really live off the money I make, not that I would complain if I
could. I think of everything I make as an accessory for home or self,
something with a little attitude. I’m looking forward to reading the
posts and learning from everyone, I will probably be a lurker for
some time and hope that’s ok. Thanks for letting me join… Carrie
