I have always loved rocks, and I always wanted to learn
silversmithing. Luck would have it that I could study with a
professional silversmith, who taught me a lot about traditional
smithing techniques. He also taught me to set stones, and of all the
ones I did, I loved the larger semi-precious ones best. And like most
jewellery makers, I used to buy them, mostly online. Until I learnt
about fake stones or stones that were not what the seller said they
were. After that I wondered how hard it would be to make my own. I
found someone to teach me, and here I am, making my own semi-precious
cabochons, some for myself, others for sale. And I LOVE it!!! I never
dreamed that I would be doing something I love this much! There is
treasure in every stone, beautiful colours, gorgeous patterns
heavenly structures, Mother Nature`s artwork. And my job is to bring
them out and share them with you. Be honest, what could be more
fulfilling?
