I make lampwork beads as a hobby but have done some silversmithing
and wirework. I’m retired so do not sell but am happy to pass on
beads to friends. I want to expand my silversmithing skills so as to
be able to incorporate for example, small cabochons into rings and
larger ones into brooches. Hopefully when my husband retires, he can
set up the selling side of things. My beads and jewellery tend to be
quirky rather than pretty, pretty ans currently I’m into more off
mandrel lampwork making goddesses and faces.

I began with beading, making the jewerly for my daughter’s wedding.
Then I ‘advanced’ to non-credit metalsmithing classes for a year.
Now I am in a credit class and learning so much!

I love to do pieces that are different to odd, so I will ask a lot
of ‘how-to’ questions here.
