I have been making jewelry for about 7 years. I started stringing,
then began experimenting with precious metal clay, and am now
progressing through learning techniques for metalsmithing. My most
easily sold items are my chainmaille and handmade chains. My chains
sell the best for me after I explain the process to a potential
buyer. Turning straight wire into intricate patterns for adornment
seems like magic to others who don’t know the process.
Jewelry-making is a fascinating way to contribute, and I hope to
keep learning more and more. There is always a new skill to acquire!
