Please welcome our newest members…

Lois Chichinoff Thadei
Olympia, WA. USA

An Alaska Native artist, the focus of my work changes as the Pacific
Northwest USA seasons change. Metalsmithing, now becoming obsessive
has disrupted my household and I joyfully awake at 3 and 4 AM to
shape an idea, or practice a new to me technique. The daily Ganoksin
e-mails are a daily visit I enjoy with so many wonderful folks. Thank
goodness you are all out there.

Shelia Kay Zahm
Hermon, ME. USA

I love working with metal and I also work with fused glass. I don’t
do either as much as I like, due to working more in my retirement
than I expected. I want to keep learning and soon I’ll have time to
put more of it into practice!

Claire Marguerite Levy-Boker
Toronto, Ontario. Canada

HI! Born in Morocco, I grew up in Montreal. My hobbies included
dance, swimming and volunteer work. From the age of 16 I spent my
summers working at camps and later volunteering in Israel. I moved
to Israel in 1990, where I married and had 3 boys. Back in Canada
since 2002, I taught French for 11 years and recently took up making
jewelry. I use glass beads, crystals, pearls, metals and wire. My
pieces range from fashion jewelry to more daring artisan styles.
Other than the pleasure of working on a design and seeing the
finished piece, there is no feeling like seeing people wear my
creations. I am fascinated by metal, mostly copper and learning all
I can about moving and shaping this metal.
