The jewelry pieces I create are in silver, some with 18k accents,
and Techniques used are most often are fabrication,
engraving, stone setting and enameling.

Hi all. We are a small business of 2 people doing all the
manufacturing and repairs from my studio/workshop in Somerset West
South Africa. Working with all the different precious metals and
lately working together with some local sculpturers started
experiencing with bronze casting with different patina finishes.

Most folks that make jewelry are truly adaptive and slightly
eccentric, but that is what I love about it. Self taught and caught
the bug 4 months ago after I dropped my first piece of hard
solder— hooked ever since.

Hopefully, in between dropping solder and polishing the pieces I can
find some time to go back to AZ for more gold prospecting and rock

I look forward in viewing all the great pieces from all the members
of Orchid.

I’ve been making & selling jewelry on a small scale for many years,
lots of stampwork, stones, on silver w/brass or the reverse, as well
as bead pieces. After a couple of years of reduced activity I’m in
the mood to kick it up a tiny notch and to get back to doing my own
soldering. I’m mostly interested in a resource to find solutions to
everyday problems and questions. And just a general interest in what
people have to say about the types of jewelry they’re involved with.
