I’m a novice, picking up the hobby again after several years. I
started by teaching myself to make maille using several of the
online resources out there. It was a short transition to maille
jewelry in anodized aluminum, then silver. From there I picked up
soldering techniques, and convinced my fiance (now wife) that we
should make our own wedding rings. We were fortunate to be nearby to
a facility that offers training and private instruction, and we
found someone to help us make our own Mokume-gane wedding rings.
