Walter Eugene Martin
Williams, OR. USA
I go by Gene, not Walter.
I’m a custom knifemaker learning jewelry and more about non ferrous
metals. After making knives for 25 years I’m getting bored with
traditional. I want to work towards more upscale pieces and learn
more about precious and semi precious metals and stone work.

My favorite hobby is creating unique jewelry. I love handmade beaded
jewelry as well as handcrafted gemstone jewelry. And that is how I
got my start in selling gemstone beads and jewelry making supplies
to other designers.
I am a bench jeweler and have a workshop with a showroom.
I make hand fabrication, stone setting, wax models, plating…

Lisa A Oristian
Hubbardsville, NY. USA
I came to jewelry making late and it is my second career. I work
from home as an artisan jewelry maker and I teach beginning level
classes at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica NY. I am
always looking for ways to increase my skills and to learn new
techniques, as I believe that you can’t know what to do until you
know what you can do! I am excited to be part of Orchid and look
forward to this interaction.
