I am a retired Speech/Language Pathologist who began taking classes
in metalsmithing several years ago at a local Art Center. I am now
addicted to the multi-multi faceted art of jewelry making and to all
the learning that continues to go with it! I particularly love
creating pieces using found stones and sea glass, and pieces that
are inspired by natural elements.

Hello! I am a small metal artist in the SF East Bay. I have been
working with metals for 16 years. I went to Humboldt State to study
Jewelry Making which was wonderful. I continue my skills and
knowledge in community colleges in the area. I’ve participated in
numberous shows and fairs. I take commissioned work and sell word of
mouth.

Currently i am starting a business in the Bay Area. It will be a
place for metalsmiths to rent bench space coupled with a gallery to
show and sell their work along with professional development
services for the individual artists and i will offer classes. I
would love to know what you all think about this idea, specifically
where a good location might be and how much to charge for bench
space. I look forward to exploring the site and getting to know
everyone. Madeline
