Joyce M Akred
Cincinnati, OH. USA

Hello everyone!

I am mainly a lampworker but also enjoy creating finished pieces for
myself and as gifts. I just returned from the Gathering
(International Society of Glass Bead Artists annual meeting) where
one of the themes was “Out of the Box” to get us thinking of more
than beads. I am currently dabbling in combining PMC with glass. So I
thought I would join this list to see what everyone else was up to
and hopefully share things I learn as well as have a resource for
tips…

ps I do have a website but it is woefully out of date and on my to
do list!

Susan Marion Tarkenter
S.M. Turmeau Jewellery
Dunoon, Argyll, Scotland

I am a jeweller living on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll, Scotland. I
went to Edinburgh college of art till 1995 and have been living in
Innellan since 1997 and have had my business for 10 years. I work
mostly in sterling silver and cabochon stones. Nature stops me in my
tracks it so beautiful and is a constant design feature in my
jewellery. Kilt pins and penannular brooches are something I like to
do also, keeping my feet firmly planted in Scotland.

A special welcome to a Scottish lass, Susan Tarkenter! While I live
in The Heaven of the West, our pacific northwest, Argyll is
definitely Paradise of the East. My wife and I celebrate every fifth
anniversary with a trip to Scotland, traveling with a friend who has
a “wee cottage” on Loch Fyne. Last trip we luxuriated at Culzean
Castle in the Eisenhower Suites. With luck we can put Innellan on the
next itinerary.

Welcome Susan.
