I read with interest a description of Gallery Ms summer exhibition,
which references several artists using Can ancient wax slinging
technique to produce metal work with a modern twist. The artists are
Karl Fritsch of Munich and Andrea Wippermann of Halle (both German).
This got me wondering what on earth wax slinging is it’s not a
term I’ve heard before and I couldn’t find any reference to it in
any of the books I have on hand here at my home studio.
Somehow, I doubt it’s what I do when I accidentally drop a bit of
wax on an exposed piece of skin, although that process could be
described using the same terms.
Can any of you enlighten me?
