Sounds like a very good idea. What is waxed card stock, exactly?
A hobby shop usually has stock of polystyrene sheet and wire as well
as many other shapes in all sizes. It is a bit stinky on burnout
though.

Card stock is cardboard that is not corrugated, anywhere from the
thickness of a 3x5 card on up to the cardboard that one uses when
book binding. Iām sure you could cut up some old cereal boxes if need
be. Thicker sheets could be made by glueing them together and
pressing them with heavy books or in a press.
