I have taken the casting class at the Maryland Institute and it
was very good. The instructor, Shana Kroiz, also teaches at the
92nd Street Y in NYC. One of our projects was to carve a wax
piece which was to be a link in a bracelet or neckpiece. We then
learned how to make our own mold of the wax piece and made
multiples of it–all of which we cast. The mold does not need to
be made from a silver piece.
