Vibratory tumbler suggestions

Orchidians,

I have used a Raytec vibratory tumbler for nine years and it has
been very dependable. I have a new series of sterling silver pieces
with large cut out spaces and I need a vibratory tumbler that will
accommodate flat pieces 6" x 4" using stainless steel shot. Can
anyone recommend a vibratory tumbler that can tumble this size ? I
have looked on the web and have found several that are 300 lbs but I
don’t need a tumbler this large. Thanks for any help.

Well actually you do if you are going to try to vibratory tumble
such large work. There is a work to bowl size ratio you need to
maintain to get the items to rotate in a vibratory tumbler and 6x4 is
going to need avery large bowl or the work will just sit there with
little motion.
