Unusual projects

Hi all, I have never made anything quite as unique as the pieces of
art described by other members. I do have an interesting story
about a pendent I made for my daughter. She has a 7 year-old
daughter and 5 year-old quads ( three girls and a boy). When the
quads were born each had to have special food. My daughter kept
track of the bottles by putting different color lids on each one.
As the quads grew older each assumed they had a God given right to
their colors. The color of most of their clothes match their color.
The laces in their sneakers match each child’s color. They are so
locked into their colors that when they eat candy like M & M they
will only eat the candy of their color. I created a pendant with two
diamonds in the center, representing Mom and Dad, and five radiating
swirls each and a colored gem representing one of the children. The
older daughter’s favorite color is purple. I mounted an amethyst on
the swirl at the top of the pendant. I mounted a color gem on the
remaining swirls based on the birth sequence of each child.
Birthstones would not work because all the quads have the same birth
date, all being born with two minutes of each other. Their colors are
purple, pink, green, yellow and blue. Lee

Really cool, Lee! I just said goodbye to a customer who headed out
the door with a mother’s pin he and his two siblings commissioned me
to make… two rubies (cabochons) and an opal in 22k and 14k gold.
They have all gathered in Charlotte for his Mom’s 75th birthday, and
have a family photo at noon. They’re going to give her the pin this
morning so she can wear it in the photo.

That’s one of the things I enjoy most about what we do. Being a
special part of people’s lives at times like weddings, birthdays, and
such!
