University of Washington Digital Design

The Metals Program at the University Washington has received a grant
Of $230,000.00 to increase student access to Rapid Prototyping
Technologies. The funds will be used to purchase a Stratasys
Prodigy Plus FDM machine, laser welder, titanium casting machine,
laser scanner capable of scanning the entire body, and computer
systems with software to utilize this equipment. By adding these
technologies to our existing RP output and scanning tools the DD/BC
helps create a well rounded technology experience for our Metals
