Tucson Orchid Dinner and Silent Auction Update

Greetings Orchid

For those of you who are new to Orchid, The Tucson Orchid dinner
started 8 years ago, when Dave Arens of Tucson suggested the “Orchid
Tucson Trekkers” to meet each other in Tucson. Here is a nostalgia
link to Dave’s idea which is fun to read back.

http://www.ganoksin.com/orchid/archive/199701/msg00018.htm

From less than 20 people who attended the first Orchid dinner in
1997, the event grew to accommodate over 300 Orchidians last year.
You must imagine how much work is involved in putting such a dinner
together . Last year, Sam Patania and his team worked hard to
make this wonderful get together a friends making magic.

The coming 9th Tucson Orchid dinner should be an exciting evening
for all of us!

We have a Banquet Sponsor at this time, the main “Diamond” sponsor
this year is Rio Grande. THANK YOU RIO you have come through again!
Orchid is extremely grateful for your support.

This is our opportunity to meet each other and make friends; this is
our opportunity to put an Orchid on our bench, to connect and to
share.

If you consider attending the dinner please register today. It will
help us in organizing the event.

You may register through http://www.ganoksin.com/events/

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

I think that it is wonderful that so many generous donations are
made on behalf of Orchid. I thank these people from the bottom of my
heart. I only have one thing to lament–for the most part, these
are the same wonderful people that give year after year. I’d love to
see more new contributors. We all benefit from this forum in some
way–whether it is from its immense archives, a particular problem
solved, a sounding board to vent (potificate?), free publicity/
advertising, etc. We all need to help!

Hoping for safe trips, good weather, and to seeing many of you at
the dinner and around town next week.

Pat
