[Tucson 2009] Downsized Electric Park Learning Center

Hi all,

It is my regretful duty with this posting to let everyone know (and
many have emailed to ask) that, similarly to the Tucson Orchid
dinner, the Electric Park Learning Center also is, at least for this
year, a casualty of the present world economic downturn. Note,
please, casualty; NOT fatality. Electric Park Show organizer Al
Sargent says he will put up the Learning Center tent; there will be
some demonstrations albeit in a downsized version not so formally
organized and scheduled. While one always regrets to lose momentum,
as one of my friends said, if you’re going to put in a pause for
regrouping, this would be the perfect year to do it.

That being said, if anyone would like to give a demonstration or a
talk in the Learning Center tent, Al Sargent asks that you contact
him directly: tepgemshow at cs dot com - or, if you’d like to chat
with Al by phone, please email me off list for his number. Or you can
email me off-list and I’ll pass your info on to Al.

Thanks to you and Al Sargent for salvaging at least part of what
you’ve worked so hard for in past years. I’m sorry I won’t see you
