Tucson 2008 catalogue in motion

I was wondering if anyone knew of the “least busy time” to visit
Rio’s catalogue in motion in Tucson? It takes time to get out there
and it is so packed with people that last year I ended up just
leaving without buying anything. I don’t think anybody wins in that
case. At the Orchid dinner I spoke to the president of Rio about how
crowded it was and it really doesn’t matter now because she has gone
on to bigger and better things. Rather than just giving up on
catalogue in motion I wondered if anyone could advise if there is
such a thing as a quieter time to visit? I like to budget to buy new
tools there every year.

Dear Anne-Marie,

I was wondering if anyone knew of the "least busy time" to visit
Rio's catalogue in motion in Tucson?

I passed your e-mail on to everyone here at Rio that has years of
experience attending CIM to see if there was some sort of
consistently dead time. This is what we’ve come up with. Sunday and
Monday mornings seem to be our slowest times. Sunday and Monday
afternoons are our slowest afternoon times but not as slow as the
mornings. The last couple of years the show was during Super Bowl
Sunday and it was very very slow, however this year the show is a
week after the Super Bowl. Please remember this is a best guess as
you never really can predict what the ebb and flow of shows will be.
We open the ballroom at 9am every morning, hopefully we’ll see you
there!

Hello everyone,

Rio Grande’s 2008 Catalog In Motion Show (CIM) and Class information
web site is now available at www.cataloginmotion.com.

You may register for the show now and find all the class
registration necessary to plan your trip to Tucson!

Registration for Classes will start November 14th 2007 at 10 am MST.

For those of you who don’t know about CIM, it has classes, hands on
demos with experts, and best of all you can get your own hands on
experience trying out a wide selection of tools and equipment. You
can also speak to experts in all the jewelry related manufacturing
areas. If you’re a tool junkie you have to experience CIM at least
once!

If you are planning to go to Tucson this year, check out CIM.

Sincerely,

Thackeray Taylor
