[Tucson 2003] I won the Sparkie

I can’t believe I won the Sparkie—another GREAT tool to add to my
collection. Thanks to Orchid and thanks to Swest. I will donate
something I make with it to the silent action next year. Let’s hope
I learn how to use it.

I can't believe I won the Sparkie...

Hi Katharine! I was wondering who won it! You lucky duck!!! I’m
jealous/envious! If you ever get frustrated and want to sell it
(won’t happen), I want first dibs! No, seriously, it’s a
God-send, and you’ll love it. If you need any help, don’t hesitate
to ask! Get a few fusion findings and play with some scrap. You’ll
get the feel very quickly! Pin backs (need the special collets) and
earring posts become a breeze, rather than a time of anxiety.

P.S. My thanks to SWEST too, even though I didn’t win!

All the best,
Dave

Katherine, Congratulations on your new Sparkie. I purchased one of
the raffle tickets and just assumed that I would be the one to win
it. Oh well, I guess that I will have to make do with my old Sparkie,
the first generation, not as versatile, but still a great tool that I
couldn’t do without. If you have any questions about using it feel
free to contact me.

As Dave said, thanks to Swest for supporting Orchid. Joel
