Thanks to all who responded to my question about sizing triple
rings. I certainly learned a lot from you. I didn’t know it was
called the rolling ring and that it has an interesting history.
Some of you may have noticed that there was quite a variation in
suggestions as to how to size this item. I am still working on
it, making rings from silver. Did you know there is also a
variation in mandrels and flat gauges and the tables I found in
some books?
The other problem is that my customer, a size 4, lives 400 miles
away, so fine tuning is a of a problem. So, I’m going to
end up with quite a few rings. But I’m having fun.
