I have been doing all of my setting by hand for the past ten years so I
know alot of other tricks to make things easier too but this is is the
best.. really.... let me know... Marc Williams

How about expounding/sharing some of them here? I’m sure a lot of others
would like to hear/read of your tricks. I know I would.

Lorri, I would be more than happy to tell you anything I know… If you have
a specific question I could answer and give you a tip or whatever… But to
make a list of tricks and tips would take too long… believe me I was
forced to learn everything I know on my own, with that said I would never
hold anything I know from anyone who asks… simply because when I was the
one asking the questions, my so called teacher who I was apprenticing under
wouldn’t answer…so feel free to ask away… Marc Williams P.S now the
guy who would show me anything, well his blood boils at the site of me…
because he knows that my work blows his out of the water…actually I am
glad he didn’t show me anything… what a butcher… lol

Hi Cathleen,

I hammer-set bezels with the rounded end of a medium-size nail. Round the
nail until it is completely smooth. Tap the tool against the bezel (first
one side, then the opposite…) using light strikes of a small hammer.
