The old ethnic jewelers in Israel all used cones (except for powdered solder mixed with powdered borax for filigree)
Does anyone know what the composition of the powdered solder for
filigree is typically?
Is there a commercial supplier of powdered solder for filigree?
I am aware of one supplier - Victoria Lansford - who sells a
powdered solder with about 30% zinc content.
I suspect that the melting point of this solder is quite low, likely
below that of easy solder.
I have also used the past solder from Rio which works quite well
