Tiny silver box chain for earings

I’m looking for really small(<1mm) sterling box chain to use for
earings. The customer whats a piece of chain with a post at one end
and then a length of chain where part of the chain can be threaded
through the ear. The smallest I can find in sterling is 1.2mm, which
is too small. I have seen gold in .8mm, and that size would work,
but I haven’t seen it in either sterling or Palladium
white(customer is alergic to Nickel) thanks Aaron

Does it have to be box chain? How about add-a-bead chain?

Hi Aaron, If you can’t find chain small enough, you could fake it
– IF the chain is supposed to go through the ear from front side to
back side. Solder the end of the chain that’s supposed to go through
the ear to a post. Then solder another length of chain to the back of
a small clutch. When you put the post through the ear and then
secure it with the clutch, it should appear as if the chain itself
goes through the ear.

I’m currently thinking about trying some of the beading foxtail that
Rio sells. I’ve tried their 1.2mm box, and it is definitely too
big. thanks Aaron
