[Tidbits] The Bejeweled Angel of the Orient

A race even more ancient than man. A species as far related from man
as a species can be. And yet … the Angels of the Orient-- both male
and female–have been known to mate with humans … their offspring
invariably becoming great rulers.

Breathes there a soul out there that has not heard of our Angel of
the Orient? Nay nay sweet boids of yute. You have all heard of him
… or her. Enter … ladies and gennulmen … the Dragon.

The emperor Hirohito–it is said–was able to trace his ancestry
back 125 generations to Princess Fruitful Jewel … daughter of the
Dragon King of the Sea. I mention this for I know without question
that there are going to be skeptics out there who will snort in
derision at the very concept of a human mating with a dragon. To you
I say … whaddya think … you know everything? I myself can attest
to strange moments in my life when I could have sworn … but that’s
another story.

There is this. Dragons are universal … existing in every culture.
Before I show you the image I have of a ruby and diamond encrusted
antique diamond Dragon brooch … I think it only just that I
acquaint you with some little known facts about dragons. First …
and most important … there are only four circumstances which
appear in a dragon’s life that remove within him the ability to
change shape. Otherwise they are–as it happens–masters of
camouflage. There is that time when he or she is being born.
Throughout the birth process … he will adhere to the image of the
dragon that he is. Then … while he’s sleeping … he also retains
his true shape. Again … when he’s angry. No time for shenanigans
then … he’s too busy burning his enemies to a crisp. And last but
not least–for those of you who suspect they might presently be
involved with a dragon and need proof … ye olde dragon cannot
change shape whilst having sex.

This last bit of knowledge is extremely important for those of you
who might have been living with certain doubts as to just who it is
this person is with whom you’ve been having your little tryst. To
you I say … you have but to open your eyes at the propitious
moment … and the truth will be known.

For those of you who live in constant fear that we may well one day
be overrun with dragons … to you I say rest easy … for it takes
1000 years for a dragon’s egg to hatch. And may I add one more thing
… it is indeed a most fortuitous thing that you are all interested
directly or obliquely to jewelry … for without this interest …
you might not be reading this Tidbits … and were this to be …
the great knowledge imparted by this ezine with no thoughts of
recompense or reward … might be lost.

Now go … go … enough of this twaddle … go … look at this
brooch. It is nothing short of magnificent. And forgive me if the
coloring is not 100 %. I took it from a black and white.

For those of you who are new to this thing called Tidbits…may I
direct you to my home page at www.tyler-adam.com where you will
scroll down the left side menu till you get to the area that says
Tidbits Graphics … and then click on the link that says: Dragon
… where you’ll see an image of an antique yellow gold brooch
paveed with rubies and diamonds.

And there ya have it.
That’s it for this week folks.
Catch you all next week.
