The 20th annual Santa Fe Symposium will be held September 10-13,
2006 in Nashville, Tennessee. We’re changing the location and the
date, but certainly not the name (hey, Albuquerque wasn’t really
Santa Fe either…).
You may have heard that the Vicenza Fair in Italy has changed their
date from June to the same week in May that the Santa Fe Symposium
has occupied since 1992. This poses two problems for us; the first
is our company exhibits in the Vicenza Fair and it’s hard to be in
two places at once. The second is that Santa Fe Symposium is a
sponsor to a The Jewelry Technology Forum (JTF), a symposium in Italy
that is tied to the Vicenza fair. Running JTF and SFS at the same
time would put us in competition for speakers. Finally, we find the
other dates close to our traditional date (the 3rd week in May) are
hemmed in by Mothers Day on one side and JCK on the other.
Though these are big changes, the goals of the Symposium remain
unchanged and stronger than ever. Visit
