thanks..."Precious Metal Arts"

Hello everyone. A while ago, I had the silly question about how
to get the inside of a shank smooth, and I was having a problem
because I couldn’t get the sheet wax from the inside of the ring.
Many of you were confused as to what method I was using and why
was I using sheet wax??? Finally, Kat and a few other people
mentioned that maybe I should try a different class, and she
recommended Peter Solomon who just opened up “Precious Metal
Arts” on Main Street in Santa Monica.

Thank you!!!

I just completed the beginning wax workshop, and although he did
tease me about using the “Egyptian Method” for so long (denatured
alcohol lamp with sheet wax and red injection wax!!! instead of
the wax pen with the carving wax), I loved this class. He taught
me so much in two days that is going to make life a lot easier.
I’m taking the intermediate class the first weekend in October.

If anyone is looking for a class like this (I hear he does great
soldering/fabrication classes, too), please go see Peter. Not
only is he a wonderful teacher with a great sense of humor, but
he is very talented and patient!! He is located in Santa
Monica, CA on Main Street and the number is: 310-581-4844.

Happy creating!
