Thanks for simple green

I just wanted to thank the person who suggested Simple Green as a
cleaning solution. I got back some jewelry that had been worn by the
salespeople in the store on a regular basis. The pieces, which were
silver with stones, looked pretty bad, tarnished and smelling
strongly of the perfumes and oils used by the wearer. Soaking them in
a roughly 50/50 Simple Green/water warm solution did the trick. What
I thought was tarnish turned out to be dirt and the work came out
impressively clean. Not something I would have thought to use myself.

Thank-you for a very good suggestion.

I think I missed the post on Simple Green. What is it and where do
you buy it? What stones can you safely immerse in the solution?

It’s an inexpensive degreasing cleaning solution that can be had at
most home centers and discount stores. It really works, I’ve used it
for everything from cleaning bathrooms to degreasing engine parts.
