Texas, bricks and mortar outlets

I went to Dallas/Ft. Worth over Easter weekend and was amazed to
find that what used to be the artsy district in Ft. Worth is now all
chain (pardon me) “crap” stores. Very few stores are individually
owned. I did find two shops that have handmade items but all of the
jewelry was very small and forgettable.

Does anyone besides me still offer one of a kind jewelry with
cabochons? Or is that a thing of the past? Until this year I had only
offered my jewelry at juried art shows and saw other “substantial”
pieces made with cabochons and very little of the lightweight
trinkets. My jewelry is contemporary–i.e., not Western or
Southwestern. I decided the shows were not a way to make a living
due to the expense and the many variables that cannot be controlled
but I certainly am confused at what’s for sale in this area in the
cities.

I am looking for bricks and mortar outlets. Anyone who has
suggestions for me for places to market my jewelry in Texas (or other
states too), I would appreciate hearing from you.

Try Albuquerque and Santa Fe in New Mexico and the Main Street area
in Scottsdale, Arizona.
