One of the best things, and least costly, to use to nuetralize
nitri c or other acids is soda ash. It is avaliable from chemical
suppliers for less than $20.00 for a 50# bag. They will also have
a De-foaming agent to stop the foaming. Test with litmus paper,
dilute about a quart to a gal. of water and your acid loving
plants will love it.
