Stonesetting workshops?

Does anyone know of a faceted stonesetting course which will be
offered this July or August(7/98,8/98)? I need something located
in NY, Conn.,Mass,NJ or Pa. (1st choice, NY) It needs to be of a
a duration of a week or less.

I occasionally set faceted stones but not with any degree of
expertise or confidence. ( After a while, holding your breath for
extended periods of time gets taxing.) I will now be using more
faceted stones(many uncalibrated) in my work and need to improve my
skills. The only course I could find is at Arrowmont(Tenn.). LJM

Good workshop being taught by Spectrum Award winner, Laurie
Donovan at Interlaken School of Art in Stockbridge, Mass. She is
a wizard at doing difficult settings including fantasies. Send her
an email: ldonovandesigns@taconic.net She will send you the
particulars

GIA has travelling classes and this summer they will offer in NY
you should give them a call they are located in CA, and have them
send you a booklet. They are offering begginer and advanced stone
setting. Hope it works out for you!
