Steel wire guage

Hi, I am interested in buying some steel wire online. Since steel
uses a different measuring scale I can’t tell what gauge is, say, 12
guage in SS would convert to in steel. Does anyone know of a site,
or place where I can find this Thanks!

conversions, weight calculator, etc.

Base metals are typically measured in Standard Wire Gauge (SWG)
while precious metals are measured in American Wire Gauge (AWG).
