Starting a Barebones "Studio" at Home

HI as a degree student I too have been faced with similar
problems re set ting up a workshop on a tight budget. Heres just
a couple of things: I have used a second hand Slow Cooker for an
acid bath, it never gets too hot and is ideal. For a polisher I
bought a relatively cheap bench grinder which I removed the
guards and grindstone wheels from, added spindle adapters
available in the UK from most jewellery supply shops in two
sizes, half inch and 5/8ths for aboutI used a Dremel with a
flexible shaft which costs about half the price of the cheapest
pendant drill. An old sewing machine pedal can also be wired in
to give foot control. good luck Philip.

Philip,

Sounds like a good idea. How did you do it?
