i’ve been trying to source a gem (usually fashioned from quartz
or other affordable material) that has a facet arrangement of a
jewish star. to accentuate the arrangement there is a frosted
finish on the facets that make up the star.
Contact me E-Mail about this. Maybe I can cut one for you if you
let me know the material and size you need for the finished
product. If it’s what I interpret, It doesn’t sound too hard to
do. simple 6 sided figure.
George, I was just browsing through the Web this evening, and I
came across a Star-Of-David cut Amethyst. It’s 11.6mm diameter,
and 3.25 ct. You can find it at:
Hope this meets your needs!

Optima Gem might have some. They carry star shapes in their
regular gem lists, I believe I may have seen six pointed stars.
Call and ask - they are friendly, accommodating people.
i’m afraid i wasn’t specific enough about what i was trying to
source.
what i’m looking for is a round -gem of relatively inexpensive
material. it might have a hexagonal table with the star facets
and break facets configured respective to the table. the pavillion
facets are arranged in a way so that if one would matte polish
(or sand blast) certain facets, it would represent a clear,
linear star of david.
I’ve seen what you describe, but only on home shopping channels
(!) which sell loose stones. Some have the star on the
pavilion, some on the crown; more hex cuts than round. Try using
the message links at http://www.acntv.com and http://www.ishopathome.com (more expensive). I’ve seen amethyst,
citrine, and topaz (colorless and various blues).
