I’ve had one for many years. I love it. It is so much easier than two blocks to flatten things. Yes you can live without it - but why?

I have one, and love it. Some of what I do this is a dream to have. BUT the trouble with it is being to aggressive. You can easily flatten a piece of metal far to thin with it. Just use a series of light taps to get an item flat, not a huge show your muscles type of plunge. Your always able to tap again if you go light and slow. Once it has been tapped heavily, you can’t go back. It works very well to leave a texture on a piece of metal. Just sandwich a piece of textured surface material on top with another piece of matal or other cushioning piece on top, and smash away.
