Marilyn,
Your pearl problem could be solved by using soft flex wire. This
stuff is very strong but looks very soft when you are wearing it. A
bracelet that is worn all the time takes to much punishment for
string.
I would use spaces beads if possible so that the pearls don’t touch
each other.Use crimp beads to secure the clasp and you will have a
piece that will last for many years. Good Luck.
