Sources for titanium wire

Hi everyone, A friend who makes chain mail is looking for a source of
titanium wire. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I don’t know if they have a reputation here or not, but I came
across a brochure for these guys today, and it’s where I’d probably
start… http://www.metalsupermarkets.com/

Happens to be an outlet near where i live…i checked it out some
time ago, and found them to be a bit on the pricey side–but if all
else fails, they have a wide variety of items…hope this helps…erhard.

Someone had promised to send me a sample of titanium wire, once, to
attempt to tie a knot in it, as a result of a goofy challenge from a
friend. I was disappointed when nothing ever showed up, so I still
don’t know what it would have been like to try it. So, just out of
curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, does the above statement
“trying to develop” mean what it seems to imply, that the stuff is
just too ornery to work with? Or, if not, how much trouble would I
have in tying a complex knot in, say, 1mm Ti wire?
