[Source] Sierra red wax

Does anyone have any idea where I can find Sierra Red Injection Wax?

I use it for build up for carving and my current supplier (Sassiouan,
downtown Los Angeles) is not longer carrying it. Apparently the
manufacturer has a 1,000 pound min on the stuff.

So now I’m trying to find it elsewhere. Anyone use it- or have extra
that you’re not going to use? I’ll happily pay for it and the
shipping.

thanks,

I have a block that I bought years ago from Dick Blick, but I don’t
know if they sell it anymore. The Kate Wolf red relief wax is pretty
close, though.

Dear Amery,

Castaldo Super Cera red is pretty close to the old Sierra Red wax.

I buy it from Lonnies in Phoenix Az. I think they mail order. Andy

You might check with Otto Frei; they did and may still carry sierra
red. I haven’t ordered any in some time.

One could go to Kindt-Collins, the company responsible for all waxes
[ i believe ]. You could probably have a wax done for you with your
own name attached.

Janet, OMG Dick Blick? That’s random. I just looked on their site
and it’s not there. Yes, I’m going to try the Wolf wax- although I
was told by the manufacturer that it’s not similar at all… hmm…
worth a shot.
