[Source] Green Paua Shell

I need some 7 x 5 mm green paua shell cabs for a repair and
duplication order. Any help finding a source will be appreciated. I
only need six, but wish to purchase 2 or 3 dozen to make sure I find
six good matches. Rio Grande, Indian Jewelers Supply, and Fire
Mountain Gems have all been

called with no luck.

I have lost the address and phone number of a great company that I
believed was called Arizona Gems, does any one have their

I don’t know if this will help but we have a few Paua farms here in
New Zealand. One of them has a website:

There is also one in Fresno over there in California =

typed the address wrong.

 another source of green paua shell is Rio Grande. It is, of
course, dyed --.

I don’t know how “fast” the dye might be. If you want the “genuine
article”, it comes from New Zealand.

hello up there,

Just want to mention that natural paua shell (abalony)has two
colors.The pink colored variation which is considered as the the
better one and the blue type.Even the blue type shells are dyed to
enhacne the color.All other colors are dyed.Be careful if you order
paua shell from New Zeeland,they are protected and only a few
companys are allowed to export this protected shell.

The restriction is for un-processed shell. I get my paua shell cut to
order here. If anyone wants some shapes I’m willing to act as a
gobetween for you, pass on the info, check the shapes are to your
satifaction etc. Shapes only, not cabs.

Otherwise I can send off to one or two of you some large pieces,
sorry, ‘paperweights’ of paua shell.
