[Source] Gold filled wire and sheet

Hello-

I’m a longtime lurker on this list and now I have a question.

According to their newest catalog, Rio Grande is no longer selling
heavier gauges of gold filled wire. In addition to smaller gauges I
also I use 14# and 12# gauge.

Back in the day, I could order 50 - 100 ounces from a manufacturer,
but, now, since I have cut way back in my production lines, I
usually order only 2 or 3 ounces at a time, if that. Does anyone know
of another reliable supplier of gold filled wire and sheet (double
clad), at reasonable prices?

thunderbird supply-extensive, not sure about double clad AND single
though,but i always ask myself why would anyone want single clad GF
anyway???one of life’s mysteries to me),Hoover andStrong, and Fire
mountain gems (wire, in round, shaped ad fake twist only up to g13
at fire mountain-mostly junk otherwise in their lines,in my
opinion…)

Great people to work with too. Yes, their sheet is double clad.

However, I was mistaken, I was reading the wrong page in the
catalog. They do supply heavier wire gauges in 1/20th 14k gf. I’ll
just chalk my error up to the fact that I was quite ill this past
week and obviously it affected my ability to read a catalog.

Still, it would be good to know of other reliable good filled
suppliers who deal in smaller quantities.
