I am looking for some Gem + quality 10mm - 12mm faceted rondelle -
labradorite beads - There seems to be plenty of poor quality
labradorite available but it has been difficult to find the “good
stuff”. Also - I only need a few strands so can not buy quantity
right now. Any info. would be appreciated!

Not sure just how “gem quality” you need, but I bought some
beautiful ones from Stachura.

A student of mine was just wearing a strand of graduated, smooth
labradorite rondels that were spectacular-- almost without internal
fractures, really lovely. She said she got them from a place I never
heard of, and have not yet even looked up, called Beads of Cambay.
Hers were pretty pricey.

I am always looking for gem quality beads, without much success I
might add. Gem cutters have this weird idea that only junk should be
used for beads. Perfectly round bead, cut from AAA material is a
thing of beauty, not easily forgotten. The same goes for cabochons.

Thank you, Noel - Yes “gem quality” means free or mostly free of
internal fractures. This seems to be difficult to find in
labradorite - But, I looked up Beads of Cambay and they are very
close to what I am looking for! Thanks so much for the info.!
