I have a customer, a retail jeweler who is looking for a new
supplier of enameled St. Christopher medals. They normally buy them
from a company called Charles Thomae, but they are months behind on
delivery and so the jeweler has unhappy customers.
The item is a round disc pendant with a loop, St. Christopher is
stamped into the metal with the relief below the height of the outer
rail, and the center is enameled with transparent enamel (you can
choose the color) so you can see the old Saint through the enamel.
Anybody know of anyone else who sells something like that?
Ive had a brief look about on google to find you and Charles Thomae,
without much luck.
Tho found a few examples of the pendant to which you refer on Ebay.
Priced up to $150.00 or so each, in sterling silver enamelled in
various colours.
Now im a medal maker, and can also do the enamelling ( 1st 7 yrs did
just that) so if you and or the retail jeweller is interested get
him or your self to mail me off list with the following information
then ill quote a price to make just the pendant and a shipping/
delivery date.
Ill need:-
The size in diameter and thickness you want.
the total no of items needed per month, the colours to be enamelled
and the address to which DHL will deliver. Any import or customs
charges will be your responsibility.
I dont have such a minting die on the shelf so it will be a fresh
one. As you will be paying the cost price of it, it will be your
property. This die cost is a seperate cost to the actual making.
however it can therefore be your interpretation of the St.
Christopher image thus exclusive to you.
If you want to check up on my credentials and minting CV google for
Ted Frater Bronzesmith and minter.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ted, I do have someone already lined up to make them if we can’t
find them anywhere, but I do appreciate the offer. My hope was that
we could find them available somewhere. Thanks, Mark
