I’m looking for a source of good quality black leather belt blanks to
go with my buckles. Any suggestions out there would be greatly

Tandy leather or look up trade leads at Alibaba.com or other web
based int’l trade sites particularly Brasil or Indian companies where
leather goods are a major industry.Minimums are listed and be
prepared to pay VAT taxes when dealing internationally…Otherwise
simply go to google in the country you want ( i.e. google.argentina)
and do a search for leather goods wholesalers…rer

Get in touch with Marty from Native Leather. He is a good buddy of
mine and can provide you with high quality leather belts. I have used
quite a few of them for my buckles and I have absolutely no
complaints. You will want the plain rugged full grain leather. These
are one piece leather off the back of the cow…not a composite.

piece leather off the back of the cow...not a composite.

FYI: For those that may not know, belt leather comes from the hide
over the spine of the animal. There is little stretch in it, good for
all sorts of straps. If the leather comes from any other part of the
animal it will distort.

FYI: For those that may not know, belt leather comes from the hide
over the spine of the animal. There is little stretch in it, good
for all sorts of straps. If the leather comes from any other part
of the animal it will distort.

And all this time I thought it was my big belly stretching these
belts out of shape!
