Soldering sterling silver flatware

I have a friend who would like me to make some rings using their
family heirloom silverware. I have seen these rings before as a
simple wrap around, but I would like to solder them. Does anyone here
have any experience they would be willing to share regarding
soldering sterling silver flatware? Are there things that would be
different from soldering regular sterling wire/sheet that I should be
looking out for or changing? Also, if I can’t solder these for some
reason, would finishing the end of the wrapped ring be any different
than typical finishing?

Thanks in advance.
